My Project

I love my student's individuality and creativity. Music class gives them a chance to perform and shine. At some point in their lives, they will need to perform in front of someone: sports, music, reports, meetings, etc. Some of them get so excited, and it warms my heart. However, my students and I need help.

The classroom is so loud that it affects some of my more sensory-sensitive learners.

There is nothing in my room to absorb the sound except the decorative fabric I put up, which does not do a lot if anything. When we are singing and/or playing instruments the noise just bounces around the room causing a cacophony on our ears. Even the vent in the room sounds so loud sometimes. I would use the sound panels to deaden the room a bit. This would allow us to hear ourselves better, and protect our ears. I also have some students who have audio sensitivities, and this would help. I would appreciate any support anyone can give.
