Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My students are English language learners from Arizona. Our student population speaks over 20 languages. About 99% of my students are part of the free and reduced-price lunch program and many of my students come from low-income families. Students at my school are curious and enthusiastic learners who learn in many different ways.
I have students from all parts of the world including Mexico, Africa, Vietnam, and Somalia.
I would love to be able to recognize each and every one of my students with an award of their very own as part of our school's PBIS (Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports) program! With these superlative awards it will help me not only foster a sense of achievement but boost self-esteem. These awards will allow me to make sure that I showcase the positive behaviors we've had through the year, highlight our supportive classroom community and give them something to remember. I am asking for water bottles, positive affirmation stickers for those water bottles and a draw-string bag so that they can use over and over. I also included a few classroom odds and ends to help me finish out my school year.
With this little token of appreciation, I will be able to show this group of students that with hard work they can achieve success and give them something to remember what an amazing school year we had. I want to show these students how much I enjoyed working with them and to let them know how hard it is to say goodbye.
