Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are advanced learners. They thrive on challenge and acceleration. They all learn quickly and try to intake as much as possible. My students are very curious at their age and they often ask thoughtful questions. My students have an advanced ability to reason and draw conclusions from given information.
My students really enjoy DESIGNING and ENGINEERING something new each day.
Some of them come to class hungry and others come without proper hygiene. They are diverse and love using their creativity, exploring hands-on-activities, and reading books, and they love to make their own things. Many of my students are English Language Learners, and they love books and learning. My students come from different backgrounds but come together like a family. Many of my students struggle financially but they persevere. They are future engineers, doctors, artists, and leaders. They love to learn in history class.
My Project
Our History class is in much need of visuals to help comprehend our lessons better. Students effortlessly relate emotions with visuals, which make what you’re eLearning courses more impactful and memorable than only adding text.
Visuals summarize content into smaller, and easier to process chunks, and when you select the right visuals, they offer more comprehensibility than text-based explanations or only audios.
I have included different bobbleheads to give my students the visual they need to understand who these men where and their role in history. With this bobbleheads my students will be able to learn and internalize our lessons of the Founding Fathers.
