My Students

Museums, Science Centers, College Campuses, Outer Space and Historical Places of Interest are only a touch away through virtual field trips. Internet Tablets will provide my students the opportunity to go on virtual field trips and broaden their personal knowledge and experiences.

We are a K-12 public single gender, female, school.

My students are 9th - 12th students. My students are bright, inquisitive, and intelligent young ladies. Their thirst for new adventures is unquenchable. The following comments are often expressed my classroom. Can we go there? Have you ever been there? I would like to go there. Field trips can be very expensive. The majority of my students are from low income households and field trips are a luxury. It would be wonderful for my students to have countless adventures through virtual field trips.

My Project

One touch can transport my student to United States Holocaust Memorial Museum (Washington, D.C.), Globe Theater (London, England), or Great Barrier Reef HQ Aquarium (Townsville- Queensland, Australia). Virtual field trips provide realistic and extended knowledge verse a textbook. No longer will a field trip be out of the question due to finances. No longer will my students be limited to city attractions. These trips are journeys that provide the learning experiences! My students will be encouraged to think critically through visualization activities. Utilizing the Internet Tablets for virtual field trips as well as for research will be an essential component of instruction for my students.

My students will also be provided the opportunity to integrate technology into the classroom.

Integration of technology is essential for students of the 21st century.
