My Students

My students are talented and motivated artists who work hard to combine their love of the arts with their academic studies. We are an art school in NYC where students from diverse backgrounds are united in their dedication to artistic and academic excellence. Approximately three-fourths of my students are female.

Through hands-on, engaging learning activities, all our students explore the world around them.

In my chemistry class, my artistic students will see the science that shapes the world around us. Understanding the science of climate change, disease, and human health will empower my students to shape the world around them positively. Science, technology, and policy shape the future. Gaining scientific knowledge will give my students' voices power as they make choices that will impact our futures.

My Project

The chemicals and manipulatives will be used to turn show students the magic of chemistry. Students will better understand the rearrangement of atoms that cause the fizzing, bubbling, or color changes seen in fun chemistry experiments.

These chemicals will be used for exciting teacher demonstrations and fun student-directed chemistry labs.

The hands-on experiments will allow students to connect the microscopic changes between bonded elements to the fun real-life actions they observe in the lab. The lab is always everyone's favorite part of a challenging chemistry class.
