My Project

My school is a 100% free lunch and breakfast and we also have a food pantry at our school on Tuesdays. However many of our families still struggle to provide enough snacks. Many of my parents work two jobs to provide for their families but, rent in our area is very high leaving little money for anything else.

It's hard to focus on learning anything when your stomach is growling.

How can I expect my students to focus on reading, writing, math, or anything else when all they can think about is how hungry they are? These snack boxes would help me give my students a daily snack to help keep the growling under control until they can get home for dinner.
