Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students are very diverse, from many different countries, cultures and backgrounds. They love to learn and are interested in so many things from space, to bike riding to fairytales. They love to experience things hands-on, but that can be difficult in a school and district with limited resources.

The school is the largest elementary school in the district and although the administration really helps out, it is hard to have enough money to provide all of the resources that the students need.

Many of my students are English Language Learners, so they need a variety of differentiated materials to provide the instruction that they need.

My Project

These materials are supplemental to the curriculum. Books and supplies and colorful storage for the books! The write and wipe dry erase sleeves are perfect for math and reading games and anything else that students can use with dry erase markers.

The are resources and supplies that we use everyday and it is important that my students continue to have access to these great materials.

We move around the classroom like clock-work and I want to keep this learning momentum going by ensuring that my students have what they need to continue to succeed, learn and grow in the classroom.
