It's All About the Circuit With Bristle Bots

Help me give my students Pager Cell Phone Micro & Mini Vibration Motors, Button Coin Cell Batteries, a Disposable Toothbrush and other supplies to learn about circuits as we build bristle bots.

My Project

Student will use vibrating motors, cell batteries, toothbrushes, double sided tape, pipe cleaners and googly eyes to make their bristle bots come to life by completing a circuit.

The current running from the battery to the motor causes the toothbrush head to vibrate up and down and when the wires are connected correctly, a closed circuit is created, causing the bristle bot to vibrate and move.When the bristles of the toothbrush are tilted, the bristle bot scoots forward in that direction.

Students will use pipecleaners to create an arena for their bristle bots and set up light-weight objects for their bristle bot to knock over.
