This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The students with whom I work are not physically big enough to operate a tuba. They have; however, been doing a great job playing the trombone. If we add just one bass trombone mix, then our low brass section would have a balanced sound.

When it comes to the sound of a band, it's all about the bass.

We've been growing our band for eight years now, and frankly, I could not be happier with how our generous donors have provided me with the tools of instruments to replace all the instruments that were over 50 years old and barely being held together by glue, rust, and elastic bands.

With a bass trombone, the low sound normally provided by the tuba, could be done effectively.
