My Students

Do you remember what it was like to go to Kindergarten? The majority of your day was spent playing and interacting with the kids in your class. With an increase in standards and expectations children do not have that time to socialize and play with their friends.

Our kindergarten classes have been set up in three learning environments.

We have a Literacy, Math and Dramatic Play learning environment. The children love the Dramatic Play learning environment. In this room, the children have a chance to be kids and play. The three Kindergarten classes in the school use this room. One of these classes consists of children with special needs.

My Project

These resources will enhance the Dramatic Play learning environment. The board games will teach children about taking turns and sportsmanship. The dollhouse furniture and dolls will encourage them to use their imagination and role play. Future architects will build with Lego. The play doh will help the children who need to build their gross motor skills. These resources will bring play back into the classroom.

The children will be encouraged to role play, take turns, share and interact with one another in a positive way. The children will simply play with one another.
