It's All About Books, Baby!

My students need two class sets of "I Am Malala" a critically acclaimed novel describing our world, current events, and cultures.

My Students

Books are devices that can take us to new and exciting places, places that we in our wildest dreams could only hope to experience; my students in east Texas are no different.

My students are inquisitive, hardworking, and vivacious explorers when it comes to learning about the world around them.

I hope to bring this wonderful world and all of the cultures present in it to light with books that address those core themes throughout our school year, with this book just being the beginning.

My Project

With these necessary classroom books, my students will be able to expand their knowledge of the world and the numerous cultures and people that inhabit it. Through the well written novel, they will be able to experience a culture vastly different from their own, and learn about the enormous hurdles that students around the world jump over to acquire an education.

This book will also help us incorporate the year long theme of how one person does indeed have the power to make a lasting impact on this world, and that is where I want my students to set their sights on their ability to make a difference.
