With these necessary classroom books, my students will be able to expand their knowledge of the world and the numerous cultures and people that inhabit it. Through the well written novel, they will be able to experience a culture vastly different from their own, and learn about the enormous hurdles that students around the world jump over to acquire an education. This book will also help us incorporate the year long theme of how one person does indeed have the power to make a lasting impact on this world, and that is where I want my students to set their sights on their ability to make a difference.
