This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are deeply curious, creative, and far more technologically advance than most of us were at their age. I endeavor to give them opportunities that will prepare them for the jobs they will encounter in the future, but will also capture their imaginations now. A Glowforge laser cutter and engraver will be an amazing addition to our Makerspace!

Our students are developing their technological skills at an astounding pace...one which is hard to keep up with.

I am constantly on the hunt to find new equipment and educational technology that will fuflfill their desire to experiment and learn new things, but also provide them opportunities to prepare for an increasingly technology-focused career pool. This tool will also enable them to enhance STEM projects and presentations, and be increasingly excited about the process.
