My Project

These materials will help to update the housing and environment of our two classroom guinea pigs, Mickey Mouse and Goofy. These are two rescued guinea pigs who thrive on the love and affection of children in my class. The guinea pigs love to eat and their daily costs add up. They are also in need of updated bedding, hides, and a bigger cage.

Students learn empathy, compassion, responsibility, and classroom connection through the care and love of classroom pets.

These animals provide the opportunity for students to have a pet when many families cannot afford them or housing does not allow for. I have the opportunity to provide this for my students but it is yet another extra cost.
