Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are in a dual language program. They learn in two languages, English and Spanish. The goal of the program is to develop bilingual learners that will become active members of the community. Many of my students are English language learners in which their parents also have a limited English proficiency. My school is predominately Hispanic with a wide range of educational needs, from ESL students to students with special needs. Families are involved in the school community and we consider ourselves as a family.

My Project

This project is geared to all the essentials needed to have a successful beginning of school year. Supplies, such as, paper, staples, erasers are needed to have an awesome launch to a wonderful third grade.

This year more than ever is a difficulty year since it is the first year students are taking state exams.

So having a smooth first few weeks of school is crucial. Every little bit helps in a classroom full of eager 3rd graders. Having ample supplies in the classroom is important for a successful school year.
