Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My classroom serves students in robotics, STEM, computer science, game design, physics, and eSports. We are now in year three of our eSports program! The students have access to gaming PCs, the Nintendo Switch, and virtual reality for eSports. Students will compete in Splatoon 3, Mario Kart, Smash Brothers, and a variety of PC and PS5 games.

Arcade cabinets, gaming equipment, and photobooths are great ways to attract students to our program, providing them with a safe space after school.

The arcade cabinet will engage and retain our students after school. It will also provide incentives to students during class when they complete their work. This will motivate our students and increase engagement. The photobooth and photo sheets will be a great way to encourage students to socialize and have fun in our afterschool program. The dock will be used with our gaming equipment in the afterschool program.
