Over the past 19 years, it's been my great fortune to teach thousands of children in the city of Erie. My "kids" make me laugh every single day...and according to them...they're keeping me young!
A wise person once said, "Choose a job you love and you'll never have to work a day in your life." During the course of the day, many different learners sit in my classroom.
From the gifted energetic child - to the student who struggles with the words on the page - they continue to amaze and inspire me.
Our class will learn how to identify symbolism, and to find meaning while reading this novel. We will read illustrative language and discuss the importance of the author using such language to tell the story.
Reading the novel, The Honest Truth, will introduce my students to a character who is faced with a tough decision on how he wants to cope with the possibility of dying at a young age.
He decides to live his life to the fullest and attempts to check things off of his short bucket list. The theme of resiliency is strong throughout the entire novel.
