I have students at two different schools. While each school is different one thing remains the same, all of my students have learning styles that need to be met. They are bright! They are creative! They are ready to learn some new skills!
My students are eager to learn and grow.
They have so many different learning abilities and as their teacher, it is my responsibility to meet the needs of each and every one. This last year and a half, there have been ups and down with Covid-19. Remote learning was really a challenge; making sure students had supplies each week to use. Most of our projects were paper and crayon or marker-based due to lack of supplies. I want to show them some new and exciting skills.
I was lucky enough to have a grandmother who taught me how to sew a few things. I'm sure you all have had a button pop off of your clothes at some point in your life. Students are going to learn how to sew on a button. They are going to learn how to do a running stitch and a cross-stitch. These skill could come in handy!
Students will learn how weaving can help them create functional artwork.
Students will be learning about fashion design and interior design as a possible career path.
