My students need headphones to use the academic programs that will help them reinforce what they learn in the classroom.

My Students

I work in a Title I low-income school where all students have free lunch. Most of my students have additional challenges in life, so I do what is in my power to make their classroom experience as comforting and enjoyable as possible.

If I have to describe my students using only one word, I would say that they are PERSEVERANT.

They simply do their best and never give up no matter what challenges they face! I have high expectations for all of my students, they know that working hard, and learning from their mistakes is what makes them successful. One of the greatest rewards as a teacher is to see how proud they are every time they reach their goals!

My Project

We are living in a technological era, and my students have access to great computer programs that helps them reinforce what they learn in the classroom.

During the past couple of years parents, teachers, and administrators have worked hard to set up two computer labs with 30 computers each.

Thanks to this effort, students have access to the computers every day!

Unfortunately, my school doesn’t have the resources to purchase a class set of headphones. It is a nightmare when 26 students are trying to listen out loud ALL AT THE SAME TIME!!! I know that this school year is almost over but I would like to give my students the opportunity to score higher on the end of the year test by providing them with a noise-free environment.

Since day one, I taught my students the importance of taking care of things, so I am sure that these headphones will be in good hands for many years.
