Your thoughtful contribution has already made a tremendous difference in our classroom, and we are so excited to use them!\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nBefore receiving your donation, our science materials were often scattered and difficult to access. With limited storage, it was sometimes a challenge to quickly find the tools and supplies we needed for experiments and hands-on activities. However, thanks to your generosity, our classroom now has a much more efficient and organized system for storing everything from measuring cups and thermometers to magnifying glasses and rock samples. The plastic bins have transformed our science area into a space where students can easily locate materials, take responsibility for keeping supplies in order, and focus more on learning and exploration.\r\n\r\n\r\nOne of the greatest joys of teaching science is seeing students develop a sense of wonder and curiosity about the world around them. Hands-on learning is a vital part of our curriculum, as it helps students make connections between what they learn in books and how those concepts apply to real life. Your donation directly supports this approach by ensuring that our supplies are readily available and accessible, allowing students to engage more deeply in their investigations.\r\n\r\nOnce again, thank you for your thoughtful and impactful donation. Your kindness has made a lasting difference in our classroom, and we are so grateful for your support. We look forward to sharing updates about the exciting science projects we will be able to accomplish because of your generosity.\r\n\r\n\r\n4th Grade Science Teacher","fullyFundedDate":1734449421098,"projectUrl":"project/steam-bins/8694519/","projectTitle":"Steam Bins","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Rodriguez","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp1395836_orig.jpg?crop=1718,1718,x0,y154&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1600890377741","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/1395836"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_17946","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":497,"numTeachers":36,"percentFrplEligible":94,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":3,"percentWhite":2,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":92,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"13.8:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":71.4,"schoolId":17946,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Oakhurst Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Oakhurst Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/texas/fort-worth-independent-school-district/oakhurst-elementary-school/17946"}
