My Project

My class this year loves animals. They love learning about how they eat, grow, and defend themselves in nature and in their habitats. They are always so engaged in any lesson we do or book we read about animals.

"Can you do one of those projects, so we have an ant farm in here?"

That was the exact question one of my students asked me. Then of course others proceeded to express how much they would love an ant farm in our classroom. Since they asked, I told them I would deliver.

My students would absolutely be amazed by the opportunity to have these ant farms in our classroom. We have big tables so I plan to have one sitting at each table so they can explore them every day.

I also want to surprise them with a butterfly shelter to explore the journey of a caterpillar becoming a butterfly. Learning about life cycles is one of our units in science. So both of these exhibits will be so beneficial to our classroom full of eager little scholars.
