This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

We are a public charter school filled with some of the most amazing and motivated students you will ever meet!

In our school, we have a high population of English Language Learners and a vast majority of the students are on free and reduced lunch.

We have some students who travel from 30-60 minutes away to attend our facility. Some of our kiddos have other responsibilities at home and have to help out their families after school.

Our classroom is much more than just four walls and a bunch of kids. We are a community who empowers each other, practices teamwork, encourages everyone to be kind, and is dedicated to learning. They all have big hearts, and are ready to show the world what they can do!

My Project

What an eventful year! Many schools are starting to adopt a hybrid model or having to go fully virtual. iPads have become a necessary tool for helping us connect with our virtual kids.

Due to the COVID-19, some of our students will be tuning in with us virtually.

This iPad will allow my virtual students to stay safe at home, while also connecting with their other classmates. We will be live streaming our classes and sending activities home to our students to keep everything as normal as it can be for them.

Aside for COVID-19 reasons, an iPad in the classroom is an AMAZING resource. The students will be able to practice some of our online curriculum and work on their literacy fluency skills.
