I work at a Title I school of about 350 elementary school students. We have limited funds for physical education equipment and I am looking to fill in some basic needs.
Yarnballs are an example of versatile equipment, and we always seem to be in need of them.
They can be used for a variety actives to help our young and novice students learn how to catch and throw.
Replenishing the yarnballs will ensure students will have the equipment need to help learn and improve upon basic skills
Yarn balls are the perfect way for young and novice students to learn the basics of catching and throwing. The equipment is inviting, soft, easy to grab hold of, and will not hurt students when they make catching errors.
The yarn balls are used for a variety activities and games throughout the entire school year.
They become a required piece of equipment for the development of manipulative skills.
I am currently replenishing the equipment for my students. We do not have the appropriate amount of yarn balls in order to effectively teach the basic skills k-2 students should be learning and developing. This project will help to teach these basic skills effectively.
