My Students

At our school, the girls shine bright through excellence, leadership, wellness and honor. These girls travel from 81 different zip codes around LA to be challenged in STEM subjects to show that women make a powerful difference in all aspects of life. The girls are able to explore and design outcomes that are enduring lessons that will continue to flourish as they grow and develop skills that do not even exist today.

Through a sisterhood, these girls support one another to gain access and equity to all those who set foot on campus.

The scholars go out of their way to make sure that everyone is felt loved and accepted, no matter what. It is through kindness, empathy and tolerance that this school paves the way for education. The girls are trailblazers who are changing the world one STEM subject at a time.

My Project

The modern virtual classroom needs new tools. Students will be empowered as they grow in confidence using these sophisticated devices. Beyond adding and subtracting, these calculators allow the user to find maximum and minimum values, logs and exponents, probability and statistics functions, and more.

Teaching trigonometry and calculus online, it's essential to be able to display a quality graphing calculator.

The excellent TI-84 Plus CE emulator mirrors the functions of the physical model on the screen, so students can learn how to use the keys to graph and compute advanced mathematics.
