My students need materials to create recycled and upcycled fashions! We are going GREEN (fashionably, of course!)...but we need some help!

My Students

Who are my students? They are a diverse, enthusiastic group of high school students, grades 9-12.

I teach students of all ability levels, from the absolute beginner to the accomplished artist…all in the same class!

The school where I teach is a Title 1 School and we are very diverse, serving students from a variety of cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.

My students are highly engaged in their work- and LOVE art class- and I love them! Thank you so much!

My Project

My classroom is a hot spot for FASHION!

My students LOVE to sketch their own fashion designs and create accessories...but with a GREEN twist!

It's all about recycled and up-cycled here- leaving an impression while NOT leaving a carbon footprint on the runway!

Right now my students create designs on makeshift dress forms- or each other! It really makes it difficult to create runway ready looks. It would be amazing to have some dress forms and supplies to help create our looks! I signed up for dress forms, masking tape, sewing supplies and other items that will inspire our earth friendly looks.
