Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Gifted students often fall through the cracks in education. During the pandemic, these students were bored and unchallenged online. They lost their zest for learning. The pandemic took a tremendous toll on their motivation and love of learning.
About 70% of my students are qualified in Non-Verbal Reasoning...needing opportunities for creative problem solving, patterning, puzzles, chess, patterning, logic learning, and other hands-on activities.
While they learn from our gifted units, they also need hands-on challenges with students of like abilities. They need each other for the increased challenge!
There is NEVER budget money for the gifted. On behalf of my students, thank you!
More than half of students from low‑income households
