Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Playing games helps my teenage students have fun together without technology. Because these adolescents have grown up with smartphones, their default mode typically involves staring at a screen. Sometimes they log on to collaborative games where they still interact with each other, but more often, I see students silently scrolling their phones alone. As school librarian, I need to bring students together as a community; board games are a classic means to achieve this goal.

These games will enable my high school students to talk, laugh and strategize together in the low stress environment of our lunchtime library program.

The games that have been selected were specifically requested by my students.
