My Students

I have 28 first grade students in my classroom this year. It is not possible for me to work with them all individually on skills they haven't quite mastered. I can download CD-ROMS on my student computers allowing them to practice these skills.

My students are 6 and 7 yr.

olds and attend a 35 yr. old school in an established community. The parental support is superior and their (as well as my) educational expectations are high. I am working hard to support these expectations

My Project

I have 5 student computers in my classroom. I will use the CD-ROMS in these computers to give my students individual practice. I have created a schedule that will allow all 28 of my students to be on these computers at least 1x/week. They love working on the computer and beg to be there. I know they will love these new programs.

Having these CD-ROMS are a great support to me as a teacher.

I am just one adult in the midst of 28 little people. They are young and require a great deal of support and help. My students are computer savvy and are able to work on the computer independently allowing me to work with students one-on-one.
