iPads for the Incarcerated

Help me give my students the opportunity to reach outside the prison walls by providing them the opportunity to research, analyze, and discern the resources available to them through the access an iPad provides.

My Project

These iPads will afford opportunities for them to use technology that, before now, has not been available. It will allow me to teach the students how to vet appropriate resources, and how to use them in their research. A lot of my students have been in for such a long time, that they have never touched an iPad. This is a great life skill for them to have before they reintegrate back into society. These students just want an opportunity to be on a level playing ground. This could really be the difference between having enough confidence to try things versus avoiding them and missing out on opportunities.
