My Students

I have 26 students this year in my kindergarten class. They love learning and collaborating with one another. My goal is to make learning fun, instill a growth mindset, and set the stage for lifelong learners who can achieve anything they set their minds to!

I teach at a Title I TK-5th grade school in Northern California where over 40% of our population receive free or reduced lunch.

We have over 500 students, many who speak another language other than English at home. Our school site is working hard to bring personalized learning into all classrooms so each student's individualized needs are met.

My Project

My students need iPads so they can continue strengthening their math and reading skills using programs such as Happy Numbers and Mobymax during centers.

The iPads will allow my students to access math and reading programs available on Happy Numbers and Moby Max regularly during centers.

It will also give my students daily access to individualized programs so their foundational skills in reading and math continue to grow this year. Having iPads in class will give my students the opportunity to practice skills at their individual, instructional level on a regular basis. I want my students to leave kindergarten having strong foundational skills to help them be successful in 1st grade, as well as continue to grow if they have already met the end of the year benchmarks. All students have the opportunity for personalized learning on a regular basis by having our own classroom iPads.
