Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My school is a public charter school. My 6th grade students come to school each day eager to learn. A large portion of my students speak English as a second language.
Many of my students come from low-income households, and many families have suffered consequences due to COVID-19.
The group of students I have this year is very eager to use technology.
My school has a diverse population of students, many of whom receive free or reduced-cost lunch. Many of my students have ADD and ADHD and would benefit from having these items in our classroom as well. They are so excited to come to school each and every day.
My Project
This school year, my classroom has a large population of students who speak English as a second language. Our school has purchased Rosetta Stone to be able to help some of our English language learners as well as Kids A-Z. We also have access to wonderful school approved websites.
We are so excited to have this resource to use, but we are lacking the iPads to use it on.
My classroom needs one iPad so that we may use and access these programs in our classroom. This would help us make each student begin and continue to have a successful academic career throughout their time in our school and in their futures!
