My Students

My students are creative, hard working, and always eager to learn. The majority of students in my school come from lower income families; however they don't let their misfortune keep them from getting the most from school.

Students in my class are excited to take control of their learning, and when given the opportunity, they soar.

They learn technology quickly, and are able to discover new things on their own through exploration. Many times, it's me learning from my students.

My Project

This fall I received 6 new OSMO kits through generous donations from Donorschoose.org. Unfortunately, my school doesn't have iPads, so my students are using the OSMO kits on iPads borrowed from other teachers, personal friends, and my family. I take them home each night to charge them, and bring them back in the mornings.

I'd love to have a set of iPads that are specifically for my classroom and OSMO.

My students are loving the program, and can't wait to get their chance to use the iPads each day. I've been able to use them to differentiate for my lower level, and special education students. Also, I can offer them as extension activities for my fast finishers! I'd also love to be able to keep these iPads on chargers, so that they kids can play all day!
