My Students
I am the English Learner Coordinator and Title I Coordinator for our school. I service PreK-5 students who need additional help in acquiring the English language. My school is situated in a predominantly low socioeconomic area where budgets and resources are very tight. All the students are hardworking but need the additional push in the English language. My goal is to make all students at our school proficient in English while still maintaining their primary language. Thank you for your support!
My Project
We need an iPad so that we can access websites that will help my English learners acquire the English language quickly. I have all grades but they are all new to the country so I am currently teaching a group of 8. I would like to use the iPad as a center where they can listen and play games related to letter sounds and phonemic awareness activities. While the students are working on the iPad in a group of 4, I can be working intensely with the other 4 children. This way, I have all students using their time learning the English language!
