My Students
Hello! I teach six levels of Spanish, encompassing around 250 students, many of whom are part of the International Baccalaureate program here at my high school. I work with a large variety of students from city/urban areas inside of Richmond, Virginia, spanning from 9th to 12th grade.
My students include standard, highly motivated, and special education kids that are mostly underprivileged and minorities, such as African-Americans, Middle Easterners, and Hispanics.
They are enthusiastic about learning, but do not have access to all of the tools and resources to be as successful as they could be. Please help me give them the education they deserve!
My Project
As a side effect of the smart decision made by my school district to go virtual for the whole first semester to keep students and staff safe during these crazy and uncertain times, I am lacking equipment to teach my students to the best of my ability. No student should have to settle for a subpar education while we are virtual.
I believe that having an iPad to use as a handheld monitor and virtual workbook will improve the quality of my online lessons, allowing the students to get the education they deserve!
With an iPad, I can incorporate more games and activities that will create excitement among my students and encourage them to stay on top of their learning from their home.
