My students are a wonderful group of creative and talented high schoolers. Before coronavirus closed our school my students showed an immense commitment to both their arts and academic education. The students come from neighborhoods near and far as they traveled up to 2 hours each way to participate in the unique arts and academic education offered at our school. Students then participated in the longest public school day in our great city and still they often stayed after school for both academic and arts enrichment.
Since coronavirus closed our school in March students and teachers at our school are demonstrating the meaning of fortitude.
My students will continue some remote learning in the Fall of 2020 to keep everyone safe. Their lessons are both videotaped and live. Just like it was pre-pandemic, my school is a true melting pot of cultures, languages, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
My Project
With and iPad Pro I will be better able to build, execute and manage student learning at a distance. Having the additional screen will provide me with a dashboard of tools I can use you building lesson and teach lessons to students who log in to live lessons.
An iPad Pro will allow me to share, celebrate and personalize live instruction for my students.
The dashboard of tools accessible on an iPad will allow me to see how well my students are understanding material as it is presented. I will be able to share student work with the whole remote class and make informed choices on how to teach a topic at just the right speed for my students. Keeping the class learning together will connect us and allow the social interaction and collaboration that make a classroom so special.
