There are many times throughout the school day that both teachers and students need to keep track of where everyone is during the class period. I thought a fun way to accomplish this is to house an iPad kiosk by the door for students to sign out when arrive and/or leave the classroom. I think it will be a quick and easy way to see who is in attendance at any given time.
We need to add an iPad stand at out classroom door to have an easy way of digitally taking attendance throughout the day with student's checking in.
This stand will house one of our classroom iPads with the purpose of taking attendance and also scanning rewards that are earned throughout the day on our reward tickets. All students, no matter how they learn, will be able to take advantage of this system. I am also thinking that students who have disabilities or who are new to the english language may think that this system is pretty easy to use since I can program the ipad to not only use words but also use symbols too! Everyone wins!
