This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I’m lucky enough to be the teacher of wonderful sped kiddos between the ages of 3-5. My students love hands-on, active, engaging projects and challenges that allow them to think outside the box to find solutions! They come to school each day ready to try new things and take brave chances in order to grow both personally and academically. Truly, they are my inspiration! This is my first year starting out a pilot program called TEACCH. I need a couple of more supplies to help my students succeed in my program.

My Project

By having an iPad in my classroom it will my students strengthen their ability to communicate and express emotions . I have a few kiddos who are non-verbal. By having this device, they will be able to communicate with teachers and peers. I will also have interactive active activities on the iPad. My students could access Boom Cards, which is an interactive learning app. By having this in my classroom it would I’ve my students an opportunity to utilize its features during the day and it will help my kiddos.
