Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach in the border city of Brownsville, Texas. A vast majority of my students are language learners and come from a low socioeconomic background. My kids, like any other child learn by listening, doing, touching, etc. My kids are lovely and lively. I love seeing their little faces because they give me energy and life. I miss them so much and would love to see them again through zoom or any other platform. I want to learn of other ways to reach them.

My Project

I will be able to teach students online as our current situation requires because of school closures. I will also be able to continue the required online training that our district requires in order to be prepared to teach the children in the new online platforms. I will also be able to continue planning with my coworkers and sharing lessons and discussing best practices. I will be able to strengthen my technology skills through the use of the iPad.

The ipad and keyboard will be used directly by me and only me for my academic learning.

The ipad is a tool I can carry with me through the remainder of my teaching career, used directly by me, to continue getting teacher training and development.
