Investigating Ancient Civilizations Using Modern Technology
My students need Chromebooks in the classroom for research purposes to analyze documents, make inferences, gather information for essays and presentations, collaboration, and clarification of homework/class/project assignments.
My students come from a variety of cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds and enjoy sharing their customs with one another. They are curious, creative, intelligent, and enthusiastic children that come together in an advanced academy. Students are provided with a rigorous curriculum and work diligently to meet the challenges in their academic environment.

Students work very hard to balance the demands of their academic responsibilities and their involvements in extracurricular activities. It is common to observe students reading a book under a tree during lunch and sharing their ideas with one another about the world. At other times, students can be seen playing on the field, rehearsing for a theater performance, practicing a musical instrument during band, or creating a piece of art.
My students are diverse with a variety of creative talents, abilities, and intellectual curiosities. The children thrive on learning, and many of them will become our future decision-makers and successful professionals in their chosen careers.

In order to keep up with the advances in modern technology for educational purposes, Chromebooks for students' use in the classroom are essential for enhancing critical thinking skills, researching topics, analyzing primary sources, engaging in the learning process, and providing differentiated-learning opportunities among a diverse student population.
The Chromebooks will provide students with the tools necessary to engage in the learning process through research, collaboration, and the application of critical thinking skills necessary for academic success.
These skills are essential for students to become productive members of their communities.
The technology and financial resources in our school are extremely limited, and the Chromebooks through DonorsChoose.org will allow our students the educational and technological opportunities unavailable to them without grants.
