Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Do you remember when school was only about paper and pencil? Now a days, we need to engage our students in multiple ways to have them learn. Learning is not only through paper and pencil, but through learning tools that allow students to interact with one another and expand their skills.

I currently work with a group of 24 students who need more than a book to excel.

Games will motivate them to finish class work in a timely manner and will prevent my students from being bored with worksheets. They need games that will help them master and gain knowledge of concepts that are being taught in the classroom.

My Project

The games will help them collaborate as a group and have meaningful conversations that will deepen their learning. Students learn more when they converse around a topic. I have also asked for lap white boards, which allows me to rapidly assess who is understanding lesson. The students respond to a problem on the white boards and I can easily see who needs assistance. The students also like the idea of showing their work on the white boards. A heavy duty sharpener will help in sharpening the pencils that break during the day.

The purchase of these games and learning tools will help improve the success of my students!
