Interactive Writing and Spelling Tools

My Project

These tools will help increase my students' engagement while practicing phonics patterns when spelling and writing words. The writing tablets and magnetic letters will provide students with hands-on manipulatives that provide visual enhancement to increase student learning. My students will use the magnetic letters and other tools to provide visual cues for spelling patterns in a word. The Pop-Its will provide my students with a tool for students identify the number of sounds in a word with visual support. The markers can also be used to color code different sounds so students can see where each sound is in the word. It is not only my goal to increase engagement but to improve my students' encoding skills.

My students are special, motivated learners who want to become stronger students through the use of engaging learning tools.

Every day we practice our encoding skills using paper and pencil. These tools will enhance our learning and will give us more visual and interactive opportunities to practice.
