My Project

My high school English students thrive when learning is interactive, visual, and creative. This project will provide supplies for interactive notebooks that help students actively engage with literature, writing, vocabulary, and critical thinking skills throughout the school year. Instead of passively taking notes, students will create meaningful learning tools using foldables, annotations, graphic organizers, reflection activities, and visual connections to the texts we study.

These notebooks will support a variety of learners by giving students opportunities to process information in hands-on and personalized ways.

Interactive notebooks also encourage organization, creativity, and ownership of learning while helping students retain key concepts and skills. From analyzing literature and practicing rhetorical strategies to brainstorming writing ideas and tracking reading progress, these materials will become an essential part of our daily classroom experience.

The requested supplies will help create an engaging, student-centered environment where learning feels active, memorable, and accessible for all students.
