Interactive Lessons to Enhance Curriculum

Help me give my students a digital smartboard to utilize during instruction. Students will have the ability to operate technology when working in both literacy and math lessons.

My Project

Teaching is an absolute passion of mine; where I enjoy using my creativity and hands-on approach in learning to engage students. I always aim to create a classroom environment that is interactive; providing students with opportunities to be fully immersed in their learning experience.

In an effort to integrate more technology in my classroom, I'm creating this project to give students an interactive learning station for whole and small group instruction.

We have two online platforms for both our reading and math curriculum that students would be able to utilize the interactive whiteboard in order to problem solve. One of my students' favorite activities is "show how you know", which is when students come up to explain how they found their answers. Students frequently use a regular television to write on using a dry erase marker but I feel they would be able to get the full experience of clicking/dragging, highlighting/underlining, etc. using this interactive smartboard.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
