Interactive Learning for our Classroom

Help me give my students the gift of an interactive white board. This will help my students have some interaction with the learning process and increase engagement.

My Students

I am an elementary special education teacher in a low-income, high poverty school district. I work with small groups of students in grades K-4, providing extra support to lessons they are being taught in their classroom. My students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. Our class serves students with a range of disabilities, including intellectual disabilities, emotional disabilities, autism spectrum disorder and learning disabilities. Despite the many challenges they face on a daily basis, my students try really hard everyday to do what is expected of them. I am looking to provide my students with creative and meaningful learning experiences by providing them with sensory and movement items in a safe and cozy environment.

My Project

I am requesting an interactive Smartboard which will allow for hands-on learning for my students and keep them actively engaged in their learning process! My students love to interact with lessons and watch each other come up to the board to share their learning with the class. Unfortunately, my interactive whiteboard is no longer working.

My students are missing the engagement we were able to have with the whiteboard.

Please help us get an interactive whiteboard that students can use to interact directly with the content of our lessons. This project will help keep them engaged, cheering each other on, and feeling proud of themselves.
