In our school population of 300+ students, there is a significant amount of students who receive free and reduced lunch. Other students don't regularly put money into their accounts. Our school has approximately 350 students, with 30% of those students on free or reduced-price lunch. Families are supportive and willing to volunteer, but school funds are limited.
As we start our new Social Studies curriculum, I would like to add an interactive globe to our classroom.
It is important to have hands-on activities for students to truly grasp the concepts.
In order for young students to be successful in school, they need the necessary tools to develop these important skills so they can explore and understand our world and different cultures.
My Project
This interactive globe will be a valuable resource for students to explore so they can expand their knowledge of our world and other cultures. The interactive feature will allow students to work independently or with a partner. Our school is adopting a new Social Studies curriculum and our classroom cupboards are literally bare with no books, posters, globes, or games. This will be the first item of and exciting curriculum! I really appreciate the time and thoughts you put into your possible donation for the elementary students at our school.
