This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

How can I solve a problem with limited resources? In my case, it's a classroom without enough textbooks, maps, worksheets, and hands-on learning equipment. Other classrooms have a document camera to assist with all this!

In my small learning groups, my students will explore, discover, calculate and discuss things together with the visual assistance of the document camera.

These students need concrete examples and materials to work with which can be shown to them on the document camera.

My Project

With this camera connected to our LCD projector, students will be able to trace maps, explain where to go, highlight routes and practice needed vocabulary while pointing out to what is explained on the screen. Students will not only be limited to flat objects (maps, papers, books), but also make use of 3 dimensional objects for math, science and life skills.

This tool allows lessons to be hands-on and interactive!

It also allows us to read texts/books together as a class as we don't have enough textbooks for all students. It further allows us to analyze photos, make connections, edit student work as a class, and have students teach and explain certain parts of lessons. It allows us to produce less waste as we don't need to photocopy papers for each student if we have this tool.
