My Students

My English classes are full of bright students who are just starting to figure out who they are and it is important that they learn about who they want to be. They are starting to make connections to the outside world. Currently, many of my students don't feel like their voice matters, and it is very important that their classroom environment represents who they are.

In my classroom, my students' voices are heard and valued.

We think about the world around us, discuss the problems that they face, and we build the necessary skills to become lifelong learners. My classes consist of students who are below reading level, students at reading level, and students above reading level, and my class is all about getting students engaged by meeting them where their interests are. Our classroom allows students to find the path to their futures.

My Project

These whiteboards, markers, and erasers will allow us to practice putting our ideas into writing, work with each other collaboratively, and build our classroom community. We will use them for quizzes, brainstorming ideas, and making quick responses to texts we read.

Those who struggle to share their ideas verbally can express them using these supplies.

All students can use these tools to engage in learning outside of technology. These supplies are tools to help build communication and collaboration skills. We will get a lot of use out of them, and it will help them build their confidence to speak up for their futures.
