Interactive, Effective, Inspiring, and Engaging Activities for Social Studies Scholars
Help me give my students the opportunity to learn about history! We do not have a social studies curriculum and I believe students should know about the past.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
I use Teachers Pay Teachers to assist me with planning Social Studies content. Without this resource, my instruction would be dull and boring. Teachers Pay Teachers allows my lesson to be fun and interactive without taking my entire weekend to plan.
Students become engaged when they develop a passion for a particular person they are interested in.
One way to make social studies lessons more engaging is to incorporate events that are relevant to what's happening in the world around us. Foldables, team projects, dressing up as explorers, and cartography are examples of lessons I can locate by using the curriculum on the Teachers Pay Teachers site.
