My students need an interactive whiteboard! This board would allow my kids to become the teachers, collaborate together, and engage them in hands-on learning!
I am so proud to be a part of opening up a brand new elementary school in Indianapolis, and so are my 22 students! My students are very diverse, coming from all walks of life, and most receiving free breakfast and lunch at school.
My students have a passion for learning, creating, and discovering while working together in our school community.
You will find their work up all over the walls, and their questions posted so their peers can answer.
The school is an International Baccalaureate K-6 public school program. If you visited you would find a building filled with amazing students and teachers that care deeply about learning. The students are curious and filled with questions they willingly research to find answers to and are expected to share newfound knowledge with their peers. Students being in charge of conversations is the norm!
My Project
Have you heard about the newest technology device that is both educational and fun? The ActivBoard Touch system is a unique interactive whiteboard for the classroom that will change the way students will learn. My students need different inquiry based activities that get them up and moving! The ActivBoard Touch allows students to interact with content by swiping, pinching, and zooming gestures in order to share their ideas or demonstrate their knowledge.
With the use of the ActivBoard Touch in our classroom all students will be able to use the system to enhance their learning along with collaboration skills, leadership skills, inquiry skills, and just get them actively engaged in their learning!

There are many beneficial uses for the ActivBoard Touch throughout the school day. ActiveBoard Touch can be used for whole group instruction during Reading and Math. Students would be able to demonstrate different methods for solving math problems. They would be able to highlight the main text that is important to them. They would be able to inquire and share about the world. Also, for students who finish early or for those that need a challenging activity the ActivBoard Touch would be great use to present concepts and interactive activities to early finishers in my classroom. Overall, this system would benefit all of my students. This hands-on and interactive learning resource would enhance a variety of skills in my classroom.
