My students need 2 packages of specialized art paper, 18 boxes of cray-pas, 25 boxes of multicultural colored crayons, and 6 boxes of sharpies for art projects.
Do you remember what it was like to open that brand new box of crayons on the first day of school? My students need art supplies to be able share that same feeling.
My students are enthusiastic fourth graders!
They come from an ethnically and economically diverse neighborhood. Many students do not get to explore and display their artistic abilities. Fourth graders love learning about their world and love to demonstrate their understandings through art.
My Project
My students need 2 packages of specialized art paper, 18 boxes of cray-pas, 25 boxes of multicultural colored crayons, and 6 boxes of sharpies for art projects. My students will be able to demonstrate what they know through art. With these supplies, students will be able to explore their inner artist while at the same time learning and showing what they understand about the social studies and science through art projects. This allows students who have difficulty communicating orally or in writing to be successful.
You can only imagine the projects the students will create with these art supplies!
The cray pas drawings outline with black marker create bold illustrations unlike markers or crayons. We will complete murals, descriptive diagrams and illustrate their own picture books. These works of art will proudly line the walls of the classroom and hallway and bring life to our school while also showing the great learning happening in the classroom.
